Packaging Best Practices

Follow these guidelines to ensure your packages arrive safely

Choose the Right Box

Use a sturdy, corrugated cardboard box that can support the weight of your items

  • New boxes are recommended for valuable items
  • Box should be in good condition with no tears or damage
  • Size should allow for 2 inches of cushioning on all sides
  • Avoid oversized boxes that require excessive cushioning

Cushioning Materials

Protect your items with appropriate cushioning materials

  • Use bubble wrap, foam peanuts, or air pillows
  • Fill all empty spaces to prevent movement
  • Wrap fragile items individually
  • Use at least 2 inches of cushioning on all sides

Sealing Your Package

Properly seal your package to ensure safe delivery

  • Use quality packing tape (2-3 inches wide)
  • Seal all seams and edges
  • Apply tape in an "H" pattern on top and bottom
  • Avoid using string, twine, or masking tape
